EYE CHECK UP

The Company took this initiative under the banner of Cure blindness with the help of NGO Helpage, India and Sankara Eye Care Hospital.

Free Eye Camp is being organised at NTPC Kahalgaon under its CSR Initiative from 11-15 December 2019.Large number of male and female patients lined up for medical check up on 11.12.2019 which ascertains whether operation for cataract is needed or not.

Total 776 Patients were examined out of which 373 were found to be in need of cataract operation which included 195 female.NTPC Kahalgaon also provides free medicine, blanket, Spectacles and arrangement of free food.

Baba Agro Food Limited believes that the eyes are the most precious organs of one’s body and one needs to take utmost care of them. but unfortunately cataract is main cause for blindness affecting 9 million people in India.

Therefore we started CSR activities in January 2020, with the objective of ensuring that every individual from the underprivileged background of the society receives equal access to eye care

Health Checkup

People usually say that thousands of people die of cold, but we say that they die due to lack of woollen clothes and blankets. Poor and helpless people sleep in rags at footpath and roadside and die of cold. These poor people sleep close to each other during cold waves but how one can sleep sound without blanket or quilt in such conditions. They shiver due to cold breeze all the night and some old age persons die of these waves.

Keeping this in mind CSR Team of Baba Agro Food Limited conducted a blanket distribution drive in the month of January, 2020. Our team of 4 volunteers went around the whole of village near our Plant at Nagri located in Ranchi.

The purpose of the drive was to identify and distribute blankets to the needy and underprivileged Elderly People. Team Distributed 25 blankets to the elderly poor and homeless. The villagers were gifted with warm blankets to help them fight the chilly winter. The smiles of the faces of these struggling people are a true reward for all the effort that our CSR team puts in.

HEALTH CAMPS

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organized a one-day free Mega Health Camp on December 27, 2017 at Jai Hind VidyaNiketan, Sondiha under Mandu block of Ramgarh district.

479 patients from Sondiha and 11 surrounding villages including Badgaon, Nawadih, Pipragada, Pipratand, Bhadua, Sirka etc. availed health services at the daylong Mega Health Camp. In the camp, consultation by specialist doctors from Medicine, ENT, Dental and Dermatology disciplines were provided to the patients along with free medicines. Apart from this, on the spot pathological investigations were also undertaken for proper diagnosis.

5 specialist doctors from Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro and TSRDS volunteered their services for the camp. This was the fifth such health camp in Mandu block organised by Tata Steelin this financial year.

Reiterating Tata Steels commitment towards the community, Sudhir Kumar said, “Tata Steel is committed towards the well-being of the people residing in its operational areas. The company will continue to serve the community through healthcare interventions like this.”

SPORTS ACTIVITY

Sports brings cultures together and bridges gaps between countries and across generations. It is recognised as an essential element of learning through physical activities and games. These activities have been a great motivator to enhance the spirit of learning and leadership, especially amongst the rural children.

With an intention to reinforce the youth of our state with the power of sportsmanship,Football match was organized to promote rural youth under CSR Activity in Nagri, Bendhiya and Bharotoli between 01/03/2020 till 08/03/2020 to encourage the Sports activity amongst the local youth of the village.

DISTRIBUTION OF WHEAT SEED, BY PROVIDING SUBSIDY TO THE FARMERS

Our Company showed gesture of socio –economic empowerment and up-liftment of the farmers income by supplying 50MTs of wheat seeds , on 50% subsidy under CSR activity .

The wheat seeds were distributed to 3000 women SHG farmers in 5 different districts of Jharkhand .

Our Company also showed gesture of socio –economic empowerment and up-liftment of the farmers income by supplying 20 weighing machines and 20 moisture meters under CSR activity.
